GET.invest and SolarPower Europe announce partnership

4 November 2019 | GET.invest and the business association SolarPower Europe are joining forces to realise broad and sustained market development of renewable energies in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific region (ACP). The new partnership leverages GET.invest’s technical expertise and SolarPower Europe’s network to mobilise European and ACP solar enterprises for joint business development.

The cooperation with SolarPower Europe is part of a wider effort by GET.invest to partner with European and ACP business associations. At present, GET.invest cooperates with the associations Alliance for Rural Electrification, Associação Lusófona de Energias Renováveis (ALER) and GOGLA, with a combined membership base of 550+ renewable energy businesses. Additional partnership agreements are in the final stages and will be announced soon.

Associations play an important role in building functioning renewable energy markets. They mobilise the industry, represent and bundle their interest, channel information, and provide other business and investment support services. GET.invest empowers local business associations in emerging markets and facilitates joint business with members of European associations to fast-track market development.
