Last year, European Bioenergy Future (EBF) hosted its first ever Europe-Africa B2B matchmaking event, gathering business players from over 21 countries. This year, AEBIOM is collaborating again with the RECP to hold an even more extensive B2B matchmaking event that will enable all conference participants to find interesting profiles on an online platform and organise meetings both during a dedicated matchmaking session as well as coffee and lunch breaks on both days of the conference.
RECP, through its networks in Africa, will mobilise and invite Biomass entrepreneurs as well as potential clients, such as rice mills, breweries and other local companies to Brussels, in order to meet with European counterparts and discuss joint business opportunities.
During the B2B Matchmaking session, European companies had the opportunity to meet and discuss possible collaborations with African partners from all across sub-Saharan Africa. In addition to the matchmaking session, the many opportunities in the different regions will be presented during the main plenary session on day one with a special emphasis on business opportunities around the use of biomass residues for bioenergy in a dedicated workshop the day before the matchmaking event.
