Catalyzing Climate-resilient Energy Access and Inclusive Finance for Agricultural Transformation in Ethiopia (REACT 2.0 Ethiopia)
Current as of: 2026-06-09
Description
The Catalysing Climate-resilient Energy Access and Inclusive Finance for Agricultural Transformation programme (REACT 2.0 Ethiopia) aims to scale decentralised renewable energy and productive-use technologies across underserved agricultural markets in Ethiopia. The programme offers two funding windows, each providing between USD 250,000–400,000 and requiring a 1:1 matching contribution from the grantee. Window 1, a working capital and inventory finance facility, targets early-stage distributors and service providers of solar home systems (SHS) and small-scale productive-use energy (PUE) technologies to strengthen last-mile distribution. Window 2, an energy capital expenditure (CapEx) facility, supports growth-stage companies investing in larger-scale PUE infrastructure and climate-smart agricultural energy solutions.
