GDC Member Learning and Collaboration Event 2026

On 20-22 April 2026, GET.invest partner the Global Distributors Collective (GDC) will host its Member Learning and Collaboration Event in Nairobi, Kenya.

Supported by the UK Government via the Transforming Energy Access (TEA) platform and GET.invest, this invite-only event will bring together GDC members – last mile distributors (LMDs) – alongside investors, donors and sector stakeholders. The gathering aims to strengthen LMD business models, enhance investment readiness and foster partnerships across the ecosystem. It will also showcase innovations and successes from within the GDC membership, while raising awareness among third-party stakeholders about the opportunities to support last mile distribution.

Over three days, participants will engage in a mix of plenary sessions, interactive workshops, peer learning and site visits. Key themes across the programme will include engaging effectively with donors, pathways to profitability for LMDs, and leveraging artificial intelligence to improve operational and strategic performance.

• On 20 April, invest Finance Catalyst Caroline Nijland will moderate the session “Pitching for success” (15:30-17:00 EAT). Through a panel discussion, participants will learn more about the LMD funding landscape, get direct insights from funders and investors about what they look for in investable companies, and hear live pitches from GDC members that have been successful in securing debt finance.
