Description
The Africa Renewable Energy Scale-up Facility (ARE Scale Up) guarantee fund provides guarantees to support equity investments in off-grid, mini-grid and other decentralised solutions as well as technical assistance for beneficiary companies and for the implementation of the guarantee component. The goal of the ARE Scale-Up Guarantee is to facilitate access to energy for one million African households and to increase the continent’s renewable energy capacity by 50MW.
