Description
The Results-Based Financing (RBF) Window component of CEI Africa, managed by GreenMax Capital Group, offers RBF grants for verified new connections to green mini-grid developers in Kenya, DRC, Sierra Leone, Benin, Madagascar and Mali. CEI Africa has announced the launch of its third Call for Applications under the RBF Component. Under this call the Component will provide financing support in the form of connection-based CAPEX subsidies to privately owned green mini-grid (GMG) projects, targeting both local and international developers in Kenya, Mali, Benin, and Sierra Leone.

About
Clean Energy and Energy Inclusion for Africa Foundation (CEI Africa) is a consortium between Triple Jump, Persistent Energy Capital and GreenMax Capital Group. KfW established CEI Africa on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development with additional funding from the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation to improve access to energy for rural households and enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa. CEI Africa supports the delivery of climate-friendly electricity by financing green mini-grid developers, renewable energy technologies and off-grid solar companies through two investment windows combined with technical assistance.
