Description
BIX2 is a scale up of BIX Capital, an initiative of the Shell Foundation, Cardano Development and FOUNT. BIX2 provides debt financing to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Sub-Saharan Africa, South East Asia and other parts of the Global South through its dedicated instrument “pre-finance of impact receivables”. BIX 2 targets SMEs that offer products and services that address access to basic household services and livelihood improvements, such as modern cooking, clean energy, water and sanitation and access to education.
