Description
The Gaia Energy Impact Fund II (GEIF II) is a venture capital fund specialising in energy transitions in Africa. The GEIF II fund invests equity and quasi-equity between €500,000 and €5 million in the early (Seed and Series A) or growth phases (Series B) of companies. About 85% of investments are made in companies operating in Africa and the remainder in other emerging countries. The Fund targets the sectors of energy access, distributed energy, productive use of energy, electric mobility and information and communication technologies.
