Africa Energy Forum 2026
For its 28th edition, the Africa Energy Forum (AEF) is returning to Cape Town (South Africa) from 16 to 19 June 2026. Hosted under the theme “Building Africa’s Industrialised Future”, AEF 2026 will focus on pragmatic, diversified energy solutions to support industrialisation, reflecting the need to power growth for more than 1.5 billion Africans.
As the continent’s most strategic investor gathering, the Forum will connect energy, critical minerals, infrastructure and technology – driving the shift from ambition to execution and from resources to value creation, as Africa takes a central role in global supply chains and long-term investment.
GET.invest will be present at the Forum with a booth in the exhibition area (E92), which will serve as a meeting point for informal exchanges with clients, investors and energy stakeholders. In addition, our sister programme GET.transform will moderate a panel on regional integration on Southern Africa to explore how the updated Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) masterplan is shaping regional investment priorities.
Both programmes will be coming together under the banner of ENGAGE, a technical cooperation initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ. The project supports African partners in structuring, financing and scaling clean energy projects through enhanced project preparation, bankability frameworks and investment-oriented policy dialogue.
