Africa Energy Indaba 2026
The Africa Energy Indaba 2026, hosted by the Department of Electricity and Energy of the Republic of South Africa with the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD (AUDA-NEPAD) as a strategic partner, will take place on 3-5 March in Cape Town, South Africa. Under the motto “Igniting the Power Revolution”, the event’s 18th edition will delve into discussions, solutions and debates addressing the pressing need for adequate energy generation in the African continent.
Alongside the annual conference, the Africa Energy Indaba exhibition will provide with a relevant platform for the sector to showcase its energy-related products and services to key decision-makers in the African power and electricity industry. Together with its sister programme GET.transform and the Secretariat of the Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP), GET.invest will be present at the exhibition under the banner of ENGAGE. Accelerating the Energy Transition in Africa (ENGAGE) is a technical cooperation project commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
