XI Semana de la Energía

From 6 to 9 October 2026, GET.invest will join the XI Energy Week of the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) in Santo Domingo as a Strategic Partner, engaging with public authorities, project developers, financiers, utilities, regional institutions and European companies.

The event marks an important step in expanding GET.invest’s work into Latin America under the EU Global Gateway strategy. A key moment of the Week will be the launch of a newly expanded action in the region by GET.invest and its sister programme GET.transform at a dedicated session on 8 October (16:00-17:30 AST). The session will bring together high-level representatives, including Luis Abinader Corona, President of the Dominican Republic; Myriam Ferrán, Deputy Director-General at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Partnerships; Daniel Werner, Programme Manager of Global Energy Transformation Programme (GET.pro); and others.

The launch reflects the Global Gateway “Policy to Deal” approach, linking public priorities and enabling conditions with concrete opportunities for project preparation, financing and investment. The newly expanded action by GET.invest and GET.transform aims to harness the region’s significant clean energy potential and respond to its increasingly interconnected electricity systems. As such, it will focus is on helping turn priority opportunities into bankable, competitive projects by connecting project preparation, finance and European private-sector expertise.
