Africa Climate Summit 2023

On 4-6 September 2023, the African Union Commission is organising the Africa Climate Summit 2023 at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, in collaboration with the host government of the Republic of Kenya.

Under the theme “Driving Green Growth and Climate Finance Solutions for Africa and the World”, the Summit’s goal is to foster collaboration and catalyse initiatives among African Union Member States and their partners, aiming to address the increasing exposure to climate change and its associated costs. Furthermore, the Summit will provide a platform to address the intersection of climate change, Africa’s development, and the need for increased global investment in climate action, particularly in Africa.

During the first day of the Africa Climate Summit on 4 September, GET.invest will host a deal room session aiming to showcase a broad variety of climate-relevant and investment-ready companies while facilitating exchanges between them and investors. The session will kick off with a presentation by GET.invest Team Leader Michael Franz, followed by a series of companies and project developers providing a brief pitch to financiers and investors. Lastly, a panel of selected financiers will reflect on the pitches and present their offerings to the companies and project developers present.
