Lesotho Energy Access Dialogue (LEAD) 2025

Lesotho’s challenging terrain complicates efforts to provide universal energy access, despite its significant untapped renewable energy potential. Effectively harnessing this potential could address the country’s energy access gap in a sustainable and affordable way.

On 25-26 June, the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) and  the NUL Energy Research Centre will organise in Maseru the first Lesotho Energy Access Dialogue (LEAD 2025) with a special focus on renewable energy. LEAD aims to support the country’s efforts to solve its energy access issues and develop its renewable energy market by promoting renewable energy technologies and projects in Lesotho.

The event is supported by Renewable Lesotho, a joint initiative of the European Union Delegation to Lesotho, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), GET.invest and other partners.
