Unlocking Solar Capital Africa 2023
On 31 May and 1 June 2023, the global knowledge and networking platform Solarplaza together with the global association for the off-grid solar energy industry GOGLA will co-organise the 5th edition of Unlocking Solar Capital (USC) Africa in Kampala, Uganda. The event will bring together high-level local and international stakeholders to exchange about the latest approaches, innovations and technologies in the solar spectrum, and become part of the solar energy future of sub-Saharan Africa.
USC Africa 2023 aims at fostering collaboration between the investment space (DFIs, impact and climate-aligned investors, philanthropies, venture capital and commercial capital) and the project development segment (IPPs, project developers, and service and product providers).
The programme takes stock of the challenges and opportunities of the sub-Saharan African PV market, featuring topics such as finance and investment trends, sustainable development and climate goals, on-grid and storage developments, decentralised renewable energy, and productive use and e-mobility.
