Description
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Zambia is supporting the Ministry of Energy, with the implementation of the project "Promoting Renewable Energy Access through Productive Uses of Electricity in Zambia” to explore the alignment between renewable energy mini-grids and the productive uses of electricity (PUE). UNDP has opened a call for interested and eligible local organisations to submit proposals for the award of grants to support the promotion of PUE in Zambia. The grant is available to Zambian organisations (including civil society organisations and small and medium enterprises) that can demonstrate a business case for advancing PUE at the community level, either through the use or sale of PUE equipment or by building the capacity of communities to adopt PUE approaches.
