New support hub to help companies choose the right digital tools
25 August 2025 | Digital transformation is important for Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) companies to optimise their operations, improve customer engagement and unlock financing. Yet, many small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) – especially those in emerging markets – struggle to navigate the complex landscape of available technologies.
To bridge this gap, the EnAccess Foundation – a nonprofit dedicated to fostering open innovation in the DRE sector – launched the Digitalization Support Hub, an open-access platform designed to help SMEs adopt and scale digital tools for greater efficiency, profitability and impact. Supported by GET.invest, the platform was developed as a collaboration between sector experts, technology providers and other stakeholders, including GET.invest’s partners GOGLA and the Global Distributors Collective (GDC).
By providing an interactive digital tools map, a collaborative knowledge-sharing community and hands-on support, the Hub addresses key barriers to digitalisation: lack of awareness, tool selection challenges, skills gaps and cost constraints, among others. In addition, the platform offers:
- a curated, user-friendly database of digital tools tailored for DRE businesses;
- personalised recommendations via an intuitive selection wizard;
- pilot support programmes for SMEs needing direct implementation assistance;
- training resources and peer-learning opportunities to build digital capacity.

Beyond the Hub, GET.invest supports the digitalisation of the clean energy sector through our engagement with Prospect, an open-source data platform developed together with the Access to Energy Institute (A2EI).

The Digitalization Support Hub is now live and freely accessible here. DRE SMEs, technology providers, investors and sector stakeholders are invited to:
- explore the digital tools map and resource library;
- join the community for peer learning and updates;
- apply for tailored pilot support; and
- share feedback to help shape future developments.
