Global Off-Grid Solar Forum & Expo 2026

From 27 to 29 October 2026, the Global Off-Grid Solar Forum & Expo (GOGSFE) will take place at the Convention Centre in Kigali, Rwanda. Convened by our partner GOGLA (the global off-grid solar association), the Ministry of Infrastructure of the Republic of Rwanda (MINIFRA) and the World Bank’s Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP), the event will bring together companies, investors, policymakers and development partners to exchange insights, showcase innovations and forge new partnerships.

As a strategic partner, GET.invest is supporting and engaging in various activities of the programme for the 2026 Forum:

• Tuesday 27 October (15:15-16:30 CAT) – What only public money can do, a panel with GET.invest Team Leader Michael Franz that will look at how declining bilateral aid and limited public borrowing are reshaping the funding landscape.
• Wednesday 28 October (11:00-12:15 CAT) – Beyond the credit line: what will make user-end finance work for PURE?, a workshop with GET.invest Head of Finance Systems Advisory Sebastian von Wolff as a speaker that will explore how to bridge the gap between the supply of finance and end users.
• Wednesday 28 October (13:30-14:45 CAT) – Unlocking domestic capital at scale, a session moderated by GET.invest EDGE Finance advisor Tanya Gumbo that will examine what it would take to extend local currency products down to start-up and seed-stage companies.

As an active member of CROWD – a platform bringing together organisations managing grant and technical assistance funds to strengthen support for early-stage and locally-led clean energy companies – GET.invest will contribute to several activities:

• Tuesday 27 October (13:30-16:00 CAT) – CROWD Coordination & Harmonisation Workshop on reducing and streamlining due diligence requirements for early-stage companies
• Wednesday 28 October (15:30-17:15) – CROWD Database Workshop to shape the collection of data and insights within the CROWD group
• Thursday 29 October (13:30-14:45) – Company & Investor Roundtables

We are pleased to support connections with potential business partners, public and private investors and policymakers through the GET.invest Matchmaking sessions. In addition, GOGSFE 2026 participants attending the exhibition will have the opportunity to meet the GET.invest team and advisors at booth 47.
