Renewable Energy for Agriculture (RE4AGRI)
Zimbabwe’s agriculture sector is at a pivotal moment in its clean energy transition. From 7 to 9 September 2026, the Renewable Energy for Agriculture (RE4Agri) 2026 conference will bring together key stakeholders from the energy, agribusiness, finance and policy sectors at the Rainbow Towers Hotel and Conference Centre in Harare to explore how renewable energy can accelerate sustainable agricultural transformation.
On Tuesday, 8 September, two GET.invest Finance Catalyst will be present in two sessions:
- Patrick Makanza will moderate Session 2: Fireside Chat on Waste to Energy through Biogas and Clean Cooking Solutions for Zimbabwe’s Agricultural Communities.
- Chai Musoni will join Session 5: Fireside Chat on Moving Rural Zimbabwe Forward through Electric Mobility and the Financing Models That Make It Work.
On Wednesday, 9 September:
- Tanya Gumbo, GET.invest EDGE Finance Advisor, will moderate the morning plenary session.
- Akash Uba, GET.invest Advisor, will be a panelist at Session 7: Financing Embedded Generation at Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Sites.
- Johan Van den Berg, Country Coordinator for GET.invest Zimbabwe, will moderate the Plenary Report Back by Rapporteur.
Hosted by the Delegation of the European Union to Zimbabwe, the Renewable Energy Association of Zimbabwe (REAZ) and GET.invest Zimbabwe, the conference will focus on unlocking the potential of renewable energy across agri-value chains while fostering cross-sector dialogue, partnerships and investment.
Bringing together investors, project developers, policymakers, financial institutions and agricultural businesses, RE4Agri 2026 will provide a platform to exchange practical solutions, showcase opportunities and forge partnerships that advance sustainable agriculture and renewable energy in Zimbabwe and across the region.
