Energy Access Investment Forum 2026

The Energy Access Investment Forum (EAIF) is one of the leading annual gatherings for stakeholders working at the intersection of energy access and finance, convening private sector companies, investors, public institutions and development partners to foster partnerships and unlock capital for clean energy projects in emerging markets.

This year’s EAIF will take place from 21 to 24 April 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya. The Forum is organised by the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) with the patronage of the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum of Kenya, and co-hosted by the European Union through its Global Gateway strategy. As part of its long-standing collaboration with ARE, GET.invest will once again support the event by facilitating connections between project developers and financiers, promoting investment-ready opportunities, and supporting knowledge exchange across the sector.

On Wednesday 22 April (11:15-12:30 EAT), GET.invest Finance Catalyst Advisor Caroline Nijland will moderate the third thematic session “Renewable electrification through private sector grid solutions – creating public-private partnerships for modernisation of African grids”. The discussion will bring together key stakeholders to share practical experiences and identify pathways to accelerate grid-based electrification in Africa.

Building on the programme’s role as a market facilitator, helping bridge the gap between investment demand and supply in the clean energy sector, EAIF 2026 will feature several GET.invest Matchmaking sessions aimed at connecting clean energy companies with potential financiers and partners. In addition, GET.invest will be present throughout the Forum with a dedicated booth in the exhibition area, which will serve as a meeting point for informal exchanges with clients, investors and energy stakeholders.
