Andrea Maggiani

Andrea Maggiani is the founder of Carbonsink, now part of South Pole Group, and a climate finance and carbon markets expert with over 15 years of experience. He has developed and advised on more than 40 carbon projects, primarily across Africa, with extensive expertise in project structuring, carbon finance, market strategy, and international climate policy.

Throughout his career, Andrea has advised international organizations, financial institutions, governments, and private-sector companies, with a particular focus on mobilizing investment for climate projects in emerging markets. He regularly contributes to international dialogue on climate and carbon markets, helping shape the future of the sector.

Andrea is also a practitioner in sustainability and climate finance at SDA Bocconi School of Management.
