Christian Lohberger is a mechanical engineer with over 20 years of experience working in energy systems. He specialises in project development and delivery of backup power supplies with focus on PV, diesel, battery and hybrid projects. Based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Christian has several decades experience of working in developing markets for both on and off grid investments. He is an experienced negotiator representing PNG at many international climate conferences including COP25 and COP26. He is the founder and president of the Solar Energy Association of PNG and sits on the Advisory Board of the Climate Technology Center & Network which is one of the central pillars of the Paris Agreement. Christian has a Bachelor degree in Political Science (University of Tasmania) and a Masters degree in Engineering (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology). Within the GET.invest Finance Catalyst, Christian is the liaison for the Pacific region.
