Energy Access Ventures

Newly launched private equity fund, Energy Access Ventures (EAV) invests in growing, entrepreneurial businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa addressing the lack of electrification in the region with new technology and innovative business models.

The Fund targets smaller renewable energy businesses in Africa that specialize in promoting low-carbon and low-cost electricity access solutions in rural areas and close to main towns and that cannot access regular finance.

EAV has an extensive network in the energy access market, and invest where they can add substantial value. For example, grow a portfolio company’s strategy and team, help founders raise further funding and develop a long-range exit plan.
